Standards
Editorial policy
The standards every page on Divot & Draw is held to. If we ever fall short of these, tell us and we’ll fix it.
Independence
No brand pays for placement, coverage, or a ranking, and no manufacturer supplies us with gear. Our income comes from affiliate commissions (see affiliate disclosure), and a commission has never moved a product up or down a list. When the product that pays us less is the better buy, it wins — and we say so out loud.
No fabrication, ever
- No fake reviews or testimonials. We do not invent customer quotes, reviewer names, ratings, or star counts.
- No invented data.Prices come from a live feed; spec numbers come from the manufacturer or an official standard, cited. If we can’t verify a figure, we omit it or say so.
- No false testing claims. We do not run a lab and never write “in our testing” as though we do. Our method is documented on how we rank.
- No invented credentials. Our editor is a long-time enthusiast, described honestly on the about page — no fabricated qualifications.
Honesty in recommendations
Every roundup includes a “skip this” pick with a reason. Every product page carries an honest “skip this if…” note explaining who should not buy it. We would rather lose a sale than send you to the wrong product.
Sourcing and corrections
Factual claims — compression figures, subscription costs, airline fees, rules of golf — are cited to a named, dated source. If we get something wrong, email info@divotanddraw.comand we aim to correct it within 48 hours, updating the page’s “last updated” date.
Advertising vs. recommendations
Affiliate buy links are clearly labelled with #ad and route through a disclosed redirect. They are separate from our editorial judgement: a link earning us a commission is never a reason we recommended the product.
